It's pretty filthy. 16-bar blues in B (not Bb).

This is sick nasty.
Just played along on my drums. I needed a good refresher in jazz.

Someone on Oppo not only listening to but playing real jazz? It's a good day.

man , that's cool . I always loved the bass . I played baritone sax in high school and a year in college , but my ability would best be described as ... um ... "workman-like".

Barry's pretty baller. I only really started getting truly into jazz when I entered college, and just now am I truly getting a grasp of soloing. This is my first time working with a combo, it's a pretty sweet experience.

yeah , it was ad-libing that was my downfall...I didn't understand chord structure , so I couldn't improvise .

I've understood chord structure pretty well for a few years now, and have been able to improvise walking lines and such, but making a melody/solo improv sound good was beyond me. Mostly what it's come down to is good practicing methods and experience.
